- 1.25 cups nondairy milk (e.g., almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, oat milk)
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar (see notes for options)
- 1.25 teaspoons ground turmeric (OR 1.5 tablespoons finely grated fresh turmeric)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (OR 1.5 teaspoons finely grated ginger)
- Optional pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- Optional pinch of fine sea salt
- Optional pinch of ground cinnamon
Whisk the ingredients in a small saucepan set over medium high heat. Bring to a low boil and immediately remove from heat.
Pour into a mug (strain through mesh sieve into the mug if using freshly grated spices).
If desired, use a handheld frother to froth the latte. Adjust sweetener, to taste, as desired. Drink!
Iced Turmeric Latte: Cool the latte to room temperature (or make ahead and refrigerate). Pour over ice and serve.
If Using Dried Spices: You will want to stir the latte (hot or iced) while drinking as the spices tend to settle near the bottom of the mug or glass.
Coconut Sugar Options: An equal amount of brown sugar, granulated sugar, maple syrup, agave nectar, or sweetener of choice can be used in place of the coconut sugar
