Hi Camilla,

You are such a clever chef! Do you think you could try to come up with an alternative to turkey for Thanksgiving? It would be so appreciated by other vegetarians and vegans out there!

Thanks, Jenny

Can I use dry dates powder in vanila cakes instead of coconut sugar?

Hi Umesh, Date powder or date sugar? Date sugar should work great as a 1:1 sub. I have not worked with date powder (I had to look up a few brands). It sounds like it could work based on the brand descriptions (that mention it is good for baking). Always good to test it first to see if any adjustments need to be made.

Well, Camilla, I had my bananas mashed and added the oatmeal before I realized that you had not listed the amounts for almond flour and baking powder for your vegan banana bars. I think I can wing it.

Hi Judy! Sorry for any confusion--but all of the ingredient amounts are in the recipe card in the post.

This website has truly opened my minds to many possibilities of food that I would have NEVER thought of on my own. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your research, test kitchen skills (hahaha) and commitment is refreshing.

I came here to thank you and to ask a favor. Can you please think up a delicious plant based protein powder? Please 🥺💓
