Oh, hi there Spring. It’s great to see you. I had my doubts if and when you would ever get here. Would it kill you to call? Text? Shoot an email?<
But you’re here now and that’s all that matters. I have to say, you look great; you’ve really got a knack for color. I know that you know that green is my favorite shade, so thank you for the lively splashes all around. Love the perfume, too. Fresh, floral and grassy. Lovely.
Still, I’ve been meaning to mention something. Something that’s been bugging me for awhile. I really need to get it off my chest.
It’s this spring cleaning thing.
I know that freshness is your “thing,” and don’t get me wrong, I like it too. But sometimes I think you (and a certain someone named Martha) are in cahoots and expect us all to drop everything, grab our mops and buckets, and spend the whole day scrubbing just because you decided to show up.
It makes me peevish, Spring.
There, I feel better getting it off my chest. I promise I’ll get to the cleaning, soon (ish). But right now, I need some Me time. I’m going to drink this refreshing, antioxidant-loaded green smoothie to give my system a clean sweep. Apologies in advance for leaving the blender in the sink. I’ll get to it. I know you’ll understand.

I love the idea of adding the whole orange instead of only juice (fiber!). I was reading something recently about how the pith part (white) is supposed to be really good for you.

Hi Jerilyn! It's true, the pith has a lot of antioxidants on its own :)
